New Hope Center is looking for people who are
dependable, positive and energetic. We are looking for
individuals to assist with people who are developmentally disabled,
to enhance their lives and assist them with community integration.
We are currently seeking individuals to fill
the following positions:

Workshop
Coordinator: The position of the Workshop
Coordinator requires a creative and energetic individual
responsible for the all facets of the Developmental Training
program. Successful experience in obtaining contract work,
conducting time studies, and the ability to implement and
evaluate production is required. The ideal candidate will have a
working knowledge of data systems, including database
development and queries. Experience with social entrepreneurship
is needed, as well as experience transitioning individuals from
workshop to supported or competitive employment. Knowledge of
self advocacy, person-centered planning, transportation
coordination and DHS Rule 119 is also required. Salary is
commensurate with experience.

Program Assistant: These individuals provide
support and training with daily activities to individuals with
developmental disabilities in a group home setting. These
activities may include laundry, cooking, grooming. planning
social/recreational activities within the community,
budgeting, financial planning, shopping, exercise and various
civic-related activities. Our group homes are located in
Crete, Steger and South Holland, with second and third
shifts open. Requirements are a High School Diploma/GED and Driver’s License in
good standing.
