Mission:

The purpose of New Hope Center is to provide services that enhance the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, and to promote community integration.  For the participants in all of New Hope Center's programs our goal is simple: To provide meaningful life experiences that instill a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

History:

New Hope School was incorporated in 1960 by a small group of parents whose children were developmentally disabled and were unable to receive education in the public school system.  Through their collaborative efforts, educational and vocational classes were conducted in local churches and storefronts.  New Hope School soon evolved into New Hope Center, Inc. and a vast array of services were provided to individuals with developmental disabilities far beyond educational and vocational programming.

New Hope Center is now in its 51st year, and its programs include developmental training, residential services, employment services, special recreation, and a variety of community support services to adults and children with disabilities.  New Hope Center currently provides services to over 400 individuals with developmental disabilities, and continues to meet the individual needs of each of its program participants as they increase skills and move toward greater independence and integration in their communities.
